Take a Look at this unspoiled paradise, just one hour south of Tampa, at the mouth of Tampa Bay. It is far enough from the city to be un-crowded, yet close enough to take advantage of the amenities of a City. Anna Maria is a 7 1/2 mile long barrier island. It is very unlike some tourist areas of Florida that are typified by endless rows of high rise apartment buildings and hotels. Anna Maria is an island of single family homes and small resorts. It is unlike anything else in Florida.
Anna Maria Island is a GREAT place to visit,
but it is an even better place to live!
Anna Maria Island is the first in a line of barrier islands on the Gulf Coast of Florida just south of Tampa Bay in Manatee County. Access to Anna Maria is by one of three bridges, one connects Longboat Key on the south and two bridges cross the Intra-coastal to Bradenton on the east. The Gulf of Mexico, Sarasota Bay and Anna Maria Bay surround the seven-mile long island. Take a look at a Map of Anna Maria - Click Here
